Scouts Respond to Cry for Relief in Haiti - Buy a tent or other supplies for Haiti jamboree_tents.jpg

The Boy Scouts of America is rallying its troops with an effort to assist families devastated by recent earthquakes in Haiti. The BSA, through it's World Friendship Fund, is keeping an eye to the future by providing more long-term support for sustained improvements to the Haitians’ living conditions.

We are appealing to Scouting families across the country to join our efforts in a simple-to employ way. With a one-time contribution, donors can choose a support kit that will provide shelter and other elements of comfort and protection to Haitian individuals and families.

What training do you as a leader need?

At minimum, Fast Start, This is Scouting, Youth Protection and Position Specific.  The first three can be done online at www.myscouting.org.  Create an account, preferrably with your membership id# and get started.  Encourage the parents in your unit to view these as well so they will have a better understanding of how Scouting is organized.  To learn more click here>>

Check with your district about the next available training course or click on Training Schedule under Training in the upper right navigational bar.
